Camellia oil is a light, natural oil. It has long been customary for Japanese woodworkers to apply a protective coating of Camellia oil to steel tools to protect them from rust. The light oil does not stain wood.

Use it for lubricating saws, chisels, plane blades, and other tools, especially after sharpening with water or diamond stones.
