The Whitesides Ultimate Flush Trim Bit with 7/8" double bearings is perfect when working with templates or using a router to flush-trim matching wood surfaces. The compression spiral design of this solid carbide bit leaves a clean edge on the workpiece's top and bottom edges with little or no tear-out. For any tear-out that occurs when routing against the grain direction, a solution is to flip the wood over so the template is on the bottom. Then change the bit height so that the other bearing rides against the template and cut with the grain direction, remembering to always cut into the bit's rotation.

Easily remove either top or bottom bearing if needed for more flexibility. If you use a router bit to flush trim, then this is the best you can buy
