Spiral bits are in continuous contact with the wood. They cut clean and leave a superior finish. They can be used to cut both real wood and man-made materials. These solid carbide up-cut spirals with 1/2" shanks are also the right choice for mortising since they lift sawdust out of the cut.

They are sold individually or in a set. The three-piece set contains 1/4", 3/8" and 1/2" spiral bits. The 1/2" bit has a 2" cutting length and is 4" in overall length. The 3/8" and 1/4" bits have a 1-1/2" cutting length with a 3-1/2" overall length.
