These 14 inch long D-Style plates were designed by IDEA Engineering for OPT. OPT has since gone out of business, but we still had some inventory of these beautiful new plates. 

The Radian Telescopes 14-Inch Universal D-Style Lightweight Dovetail Bar has undergone a comprehensive redesign, ensuring compatibility with all tube ring systems. Setting it apart from competing brands, this dovetail bar incorporates mirrored angle slots designed to adapt to the varying bolt pattern widths typical of most tube rings. Additionally, it is equipped to handle the broader bolt patterns seen in Astrophysics, TEC, and Parallax rings, thanks to its inclusion of eighteen 1/4-20 tapped holes, sixteen non-threaded counter-bored holes, and four 5/16-18 holes. These features allow for secure attachment of your equipment from above, offering a versatile and reliable mounting solution.

The Radian Telescopes 14-Inch Lightweight Universal D-Style Dovetail Bar surpasses the thickness of typical mass-produced dovetail bars. Crafted from solid aluminum stock, it boasts a 14.4 mm shoulder, designed to eliminate any mechanical bending or flexing. This enhanced thickness ensures exceptional performance, enabling it to securely support larger SCTs within a set of tube rings, providing a robust and reliable mounting solution.

Balancing your telescope can be difficult, so the bar includes balance markers in both standard and metric, so once you find your balance point, it is easily repeatable.

Dovetail Bar comes with 4 x 1/4-20" stainless steel socket head bolts.
